Wordpress Changes – Ready for 3.0
ByI attended Atlanta Wordcamp this past weekend. There were several good seminars and sessions offered on Friday and Saturday. I was able to brave the cold and ice and make it safely. As a HUGE fan of Wordpress, I am always looking for tips and tricks on how to do things better and/or more efficiently. It was good to catch up with several friends in the industry at the event.
On Saturday morning, we got a preview of Wordpress 3.0. – WP+MU=WP. I was very excited to hear about the new release incorporating the multi-user functionality into the self hosted Wordpress install. Current sites set-up for 1 blog will not be required to make the change with new upgrades, but will have the option through scripts or patches available at the site. They are supposed to be working on a fix for those that want to add that functionality to existing single blog sites. I plan to add it to several of my blogs when the upgrade is offered.
